Mini 3 is the cheaper 1/1.3 Mini with true vertical and 4K/30 HDR — not the Pro. Heliguy’s vs-Pro piece is the map: same 1/1.3-inch class, effective 48 MP (12 MP binned default), downward sensing only, O2 not O3, 38 minutes on the standard 18.1 Wh pack (Plus is 28.4 Wh and over 249 g). Videomaker called it the best first drone, period. DPReview liked the flying and kept coming back to the price versus Mini 2. Versus Mini 4K it is the vertical-gimbal Mini; versus Mini 3 Pro you would notice obstacle sensing and 4K/60.

Questions

Do I need to register the Mini 3 in the UK?

Mini 3 is C0, takeoff about 248 g (Under 249 g.). In the UK a Flyer ID is required from 100 g, and an Operator ID is required from 100 g with a camera or from 250 g — this airframe needs both. A Plus battery can take this out of C0 — weigh the pack you fly. This is not legal advice; read the CAA Drone Code for the airframe and battery you actually fly. How far from people can I fly the Mini 3 in the UK?

Which controller or headset flies the Mini 3?
