Will I notice the camera?
Mavic 3 main: 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad · 20 MP · 24 mm, 5.1K/50. Mavic 3 Classic main: 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad · 20 MP · 24 mm, 5.1K/50. You would notice sensor class in low light; you would not notice the word 4K if both already do it. Optical telephoto is only on Mavic 3 — that is a different picture, not a sharper crop.
Do I need to register the Mavic 3 Classic in the UK?
Mavic 3 Classic is C1, takeoff about 895 g (Just under 900 g.). In the UK a Flyer ID is required from 100 g, and an Operator ID is required from 100 g with a camera or from 250 g — this airframe needs both. How far from people can I fly the Mavic 3 Classic in the UK?

Which is better for travel?
Mavic 3 if the constraint is a bag and UK class (C1, 895 g). Mavic 3 Classic if you will accept C1 and 895 g for the bigger airframe.
Can I keep my Mavic 3 batteries, controller or ND filters?
You can keep: DJI RC / RC Pro (O3+); Mavic 3 series Intelligent Flight Battery. You cannot take: DJI RC-N1. Mavic 3-era screen controllers. DJI lists DJI RC for Air 2S and original Mavic 3; Air 3 can use them. Not RC 2, not a Mini 5 Pro stick.
How much more does it cost?
DJI UK RRP (as of 2026-08-31): Mavic 3 —, Mavic 3 Classic £1,119. Used and CeX sit on the price board below — some of these are discontinued as new.

Is Classic just Mavic 3 without the tele?
Yes on the wide: same 4/3 Hasselblad 5.1K/50, same 77 Wh pack, same O3+, same C1, 895 g. Original Mavic 3 adds a 1/2-inch 162 mm tele. DPReview called Classic the affordable entry into that Hasselblad. Buy Classic if you will not use 162 mm. Buy original Mavic 3 if the used price for the tele is close. Standard original box was RC-N1; Classic kits mixed RC-N1 and DJI RC.
