Which is better for travel?
Mavic 3 if the constraint is a bag and UK class (C1, 895 g). Mavic 3 Pro if you will accept C2 and 958 g for the extra camera.
Can I keep my Mavic 3 batteries, controller or ND filters?
You can keep: DJI RC / RC Pro (O3+); Mavic 3 series Intelligent Flight Battery. You cannot take: DJI RC-N1. Mavic 3-era screen controllers. DJI lists DJI RC for Air 2S and original Mavic 3; Air 3 can use them. Not RC 2, not a Mini 5 Pro stick.
How much more does it cost?
DJI UK RRP (as of 2026-08-31): Mavic 3 —, Mavic 3 Pro £1,689. Used and CeX sit on the price board below — some of these are discontinued as new.

Does Mavic 3 Pro replace original Mavic 3?
On the wide, no — same 4/3 Hasselblad. Pro adds a 70 mm medium-tele and a 166 mm tele (original is 162 mm only), and is heavier C2-class mass. Same 77 Wh pack. Heliguy’s Pro review is the triple-camera map. If 70 mm is why you would leave a Mini, Pro is the product. If you already own original Mavic 3 and shoot the Hasselblad, sit tight unless 70 mm is the job.
