Air 2S is the used 1-inch consumer Air: 20 MP, 5.4K/30, 4K/60, 10-bit D-Log M, 595 g, O3, front/back/up/down sensing. DPReview called it the ultimate consumer drone of that year — a 1-inch camera under the old flagship price. Heliguy’s launch split vs Air 2 and Mavic 2 Pro is the 1-inch plus 5.4K in a sub-600 g fold, without side sensors or a class mark. Versus Air 3 you would notice the missing 70 mm, omni and C1 / A1 paperwork; you would notice the 1-inch wide in evening light more than Air 3’s 1/1.3. Batteries are not the Air 3 family.

Do I need to register the Air 2S in the UK?
Air 2S is unmarked, takeoff about 595 g (595 g with battery. No class mark.). In the UK a Flyer ID is required from 100 g, and an Operator ID is required from 100 g with a camera or from 250 g — this airframe needs both. Which controller or headset flies the Air 2S?
DJI RC-N1 (Phone clamp, O2 / O3); DJI RC / RC Pro (O3+) (Built-in screen, O3+). A matching OcuSync generation is not enough — firmware on a used RC still has to list this airframe. Full matrix on the Gear page.
